How to Use Groups

Learn how to join and leverage Groups on ClearanceJobs.

Groups are a way for candidates and employers to find each other more easily. There are groups based on clearance level, military service, willingness to relocate, job type, geography, and more. If a recruiter is on the hunt for a systems engineer, they can easily post to the Systems Engineers Group or send a broadcast message to group members. If a candidate is looking for executive-level positions, the Cleared Executive Group serves up targeted job listings and information geared toward executive-level candidates. You can find a list of current Groups here.

HOW DO GROUPS FUNCTION?

1. Groups are open to all users.
In the past, users could only access Groups based on qualifications found in their profiles. But we understand that even a thorough profile doesn’t tell the whole story. Maybe you’re based in D.C. right now, but you want to see cleared opportunities in the Sunshine State. You can now join the Florida Group to signal to employers you’re willing to make a move.

2. Groups are no longer a “destination,” but a subscription.
Instead of having to manually navigate to your groups of interest, important groups-focused news comes to you. This means that instead of searching through multiple groups to find the job postings or candidates you need, posts will come straight to your Message inbox.

CLEARANCEJOBS PULSE

ClearanceJobs Pulse gathers the job postings and content that is applicable to you and reveals them to you automatically in an informative news feed.

From hiring needs and events, to photos and videos, everything is a potential conversation starter – whether you’re a candidate or an employer. Groups are an essential part of how Pulse curates content especially for you. Belong to the ClearanceJobs Navy Vets Group? Or maybe the Cleared OCONUS Group? Pulse will factor in those groups and churn out content and job opportunities uniquely for you.
